Happy Monday and hope you had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! I’ll be doing some traveling over the next 2 weeks and my posting may be a bit off (story of this crazy summer so far!) but in the meantime, I thought it’d be fun to play along and do the 4 things survey I’ve seen going around the blog world! I’d love for you to join in and answer a couple of the questions in the comment section if you’d like.
Four names that people call me other than my real name:
1.Liv
2. Lulu
3. Livi
4. Lovebug (just my parents!)

Four jobs I’ve had:
1. Lifeguard

1. Pork

3. The Associate – If you like mystery/suspense/lawyer books…

4 friends I tag to answer the survey:

Hopefully, you learned a little more about me (and I had way too much fun going through old pictures.) I’d love to know a little more about you, too, so…it’s your turn! Feel free to pick one or two from the survey or answer one of the questions below:
Jobs you’ve had?
TV shows you watch?
Foods you prefer not to eat?
Stacie @ SimplySouthernStacie says
Redeeming Love is one of my favorite books of all time! Have you read the Mark of the Lion series by the same author? It’s so good!
Liv says
I’ve definitely heard of the Mark of the Lion series but I don’t think I’ve read any of those books. Adding the series to my “to read” list now! 🙂
misty says
you would love the whole series!
Alison @ Sweetly Petite says
The “Lineage of Grace” series by the same author is tremendous, also!
Liv says
So good to know! I’ll have to put that series and the Mark of the Lion series on my to-read list. Thanks, Alison!
Liv says
You’ve read them and I haven’t? I’l have to check on getting them for my Kindle!
Ellen @ My Uncommon Everyday says
I don’t really like Nutella, either, which is weird because it’s chocolate and nuts. And I love both of those things.
Also, I’m not a huge fan of mashed potatoes or stuffing. Thanksgiving isn’t as amazing food-wise for me as it is for many… until dessert. 🙂
Liv says
I do love mashed potatoes but I’m with you on the stuffing! The dessert’s definitely my favorite part, too. And you’re so right about Nutella- I love chocolate and nuts, too (usually even together!) but not Nutella for some reason.
Dannii @ Hungry Healthy Happy says
I love The Bachelor/The Bachelorette, but I agree I am getting a bit annoyed with it. What is Kaitlyn doing????
Liv says
Right?! This may be the season that ends my watching the show… 🙁
Brie @ Lean, Clean, & Brie says
I am with you on Nutellla! I have only had it a few times and every time I have not been very impressed with it. It seems like something I would love, but I would much rather have plain old peanut butter or almond butter!
Liv says
I feel the same way- Nutella sounds like something I’d LOVE, but I’d much rather have plain peanut butter. Nutella’s just so sweet-tasting!
Shannon says
Redeeming Love = Quality Book
Liv says
SO good! I think my sister read it about 4 times haha.
Hilary says
Surprisingly I am right there with ya on the nutella thing, I just hate the texture it is so much different than peanut butter that is for sure! Something else I would rather not eat is green olives! Never been a fan of those!
Liv says
Wow, all of the Nutella haters are coming forward now! 😉 So glad it’s not just me. And I’m not a huge fan of green olives, either, but I can handle them if they’re mixed with other things, like on a pizza.
Kate says
Me too, I also hate nutella… that is until my friend introduced me to the homemade version which is amazzing (and I should emphasize that WAY more) It’s nutty and chocolaty but not too sweet…
2 cups of nuts (any kind, but preferably walnuts, hazelnuts, or pecans)
Chocolate to taste (I use around 1 cup of dark chocolate if I’m feeling sad.)
Soak nuts in water for 6-8 hours. Drain nuts and put in food processor (or blender, whatev) with chocolate. Blend and store in airtight container and put in fridge. Be prepared to go to rehab. 😉
Liv says
Wow, that sounds delicious!! Thank so much for sharing your recipe, Kate!
Emily says
Hehe… You’ll laugh at all the different jobs I’ve had.
1. Reporter
2. Prospective Counselor
3. Blogger
4. Babysitter
🙂 And the list could go on, but I won’t bore you. 😀
Wow, you’ve gone to a lot of places … What did you go to Kenya for?
Liv says
You’re a “jack of all trades”! And I went to Kenya for a month a few summers ago for a missions trip and we brought things to schools and orphanages 🙂
Christine@ Apple of My Eye says
Love this! I was reading through it and thinking that I might do the survey myself since it looks like a lot of fun, and then realized you tagged me so I have no choice now ;). Woo!
And GIRL. You need to watch Game of Thrones. I don’t know if I can talk to you until you do 😉
Liv says
I’ve heard good things about Game of Thrones so I’ll have to check it out! And yes, do the survey if you get a chance- I want to see your answers 🙂
Lacey @ Runs and Roses says
I love those 4 movies! Father of the Bride is so good and Anne of Green Gables are my go to movies when I’m sick or it’s raining. The actor who played Gil died recently and I was so sad! (Also I feel like most people haven’t seen those movies, so no one could share my sadness.)
Liv says
I FELT THE EXACT SAME WAY! I probably asked like 10 people if they’d seen the Anne of Green Gables movies so they could share my sadness but no one had. (Although my mom had since that used to be our thing that we watched together.) I LOVED Gil <3
Alison @ Sweetly Petite says
What a fun tag! I love your pictures.. you’re such a gorgeous gal!!
I have been a hostess at a Chinese restaurant, a tutor, a nanny, and a babysitter.
My favorite TV shows have to be Bones, Scrubs, Scandal (Olivia Pope has my dream wardrobe), The Little Couple, and Downton Abbey. I love TV 🙂
I detest tomatoes. It is a shame because I hear they are quite delicious. I never liked them and probably never will. Oh well!
Liv says
You’re the sweetest! I bet being a hostess was really interesting (although babysitting/nannying has always been my favorite job!) Olivia Pope definitely has my dream wardrobe. I almost want to have a business-type job just so I can dress like her haha.
Niki @ Life With Niki says
I love the middle, Brick is just too hilarious in my opinion! Super jealous you had the opportunity to travel to east asia, that is my long life dream! Have you ever done a post about it?
Liv says
I love Brick! Especially in the earlier seasons when he’s still tiny and whisper-repeats himself. I actually never did a post about East Asia since it was before I started my blog but it was a really cool experience!
Abbie says
Lol, I would never be able to do this whole survey; it would be incredibly boring, since I would only have like 1-2 answers for each question at the most. Plus, I’m indecisive, so it would take me FOREVER! 😀
Also, this is totally random, but your hair always looks so amazing!
My favorite TV shows are Modern Marvels and Throwdowns with Bobby Flay, which I know are not exactly in the same realm as the TV shows you mentioned! 😀 I don’t like fennel and most beans (depending on the application). I’m sure there’s more, but I can’t remember them right now! 😛
Liv says
Thanks, Abbie! I’m actually not sure if I like fennel because I’m not totally sure what it tastes like. That’s so interesting that you say that about not liking beans because I’ve heard a few people say that recently!
Jamie says
Jobs:
1. Lifeguard
2. Babysitter
3. Oncology Researcher
4. Healthcare Consultant
TV Shows:
1. RHONY
2. RHOOC
3. Keeping up with the Kardashians
4. Million Dollar Listing
I clearly have THE BEST taste in TV : )
Liv says
Hey, no judgement here 😉 And so interesting to hear about your jobs- my sister is actually doing a healthcare consulting internship this summer, so maybe she’ll end up doing that for her job, too!
Elsie @ Sharing Healthiness says
I love these surveys! I love me some veggies too! I actually have my parsnip, broccoli, eggplant, cauliflower and sweet potatoes combo EVERY DAY!!! I need to catch up on TV shows, I can already see Fall coming and all these new shows coming up! #TVshowstress 😉
Liv says
That sounds like an awesome veggie combo! I love that you have it every day. Do you roast them?
Elsie @ Sharing Healthiness says
Yep! Roasting is my favorite way of cooking them. I actually like them cold so I will put them in the fridge to cool down. Now that is summer they are so refreshing! 🙂
Liv says
That’s so interesting that you prefer them cold! I can’t stop eating them when they’re hot out of the oven so there usually aren’t leftovers, but I don’t mind them cold either 🙂
Julia @ Lord Still Loves Me says
“Bueller…Bueller….Bueller” One of my all time favorite movies! You have good taste. 😉 Also, I don’t like nutella either! I love practically anything chocolate, but not nutella. Hazelnut is not my friend.
Also- you watch the Middle?! I think you are the only person I “know” who watches it! I LOVE it.
Liv says
SUCH a good movie. I could watch it over and over again. And I’m glad you’re with me on the Nutella 🙂 My roommate told me about the Middle this year, and now I watch it with my little brother whenever I go home 🙂 Brick is too funny!
Hailey says
My mom calls me Lovebug sometimes! Ha that’s cute! I loved your roasted veggies comment:). They are good! I’ll still be your friend- Nutella is wayyy to sweet for me (says someone with a sweet tooth) ha. I’ll stick with my almond and peanut butter 🙂
I finally quit watching the bachelor/bachelorette haha. Maybe in time it will come ;). I’m enjoying the summer, but nothing beats Christmastime! I’m so excited for your half marathon, which one are you doing!?
Liv says
Hey fellow lovebug! 😉 I have a major sweet tooth, too, and I guess I prefer richness over straight sugariness, if that makes sense? So maybe that’s why Nutella just doesn’t taste quite right to us.
I’m not totally sure which half marathon I’ll do, but I figure that I’ll do at least one sometime in the next 12 months 🙂
Sam @ Grapefruit & Granola says
I want to get the inside scoop on what it is like to be a Chick Fil A employee… how is all of the staff so friendly? They seriously have the best customer service out of any fast food establishment I’ve been to. I always wondered about their training (because I used to work in food service).
Liv says
Chick Fil A is really big on “second mile service” i.e. going the extra mile for customers whenever possible, like carrying their tray to their table, refilling their drinks, and walking customers out with an umbrella if it’s raining and they definitely encourage that during the training. Since it’s a Christian organization and all of the store owners are Christians, their goal is to serve their customers in a Christ-like way 🙂
And also saying “my pleasure” instead of “you’re welcome” to customers. It took me forever to get used to saying “you’re welcome” again after I stopped working there!
Ellie says
I was ADDICTED to 24!!! And Scandal! Right now my best friend and I are watching 7th Heaven…from the beginning! 273 episodes!
I also love the book Redeeming Love. It was recommended to me by a guy I met at church! What a great read
Liv says
My mom and I used to watch 7th Heaven- such a good show. And wow, I had no idea there are 273 episodes?!
Georgie says
This is so much fun! All your travels sound amazing. Where did you go in Greece?
This is probably an obvious one but foods I’d rather not eat are any meat product and after that anything that’s too processed.
Liv says
We went to Corfu, Greece, and it was so beautiful. The water was so blue that it didn’t even look real!
Emily @ My Healthyish Life says
Thanks for the tag! I’m a survey junkie 😉 You have traveled to some awesome places!!! Father of the Bride is in my top 10 favorite movies, as is Home Alone. I watch that year-round!
Food I prefer not to eat: mushy anything (apple sauce, yogurt, mashed potatoes, etc.). It’s a texture thing.
Liv says
We watch Home Alone every year while we put up our Christmas tree! I’ve heard other people say that about mushy foods and include things like pudding/mousse, mashed avocado, etc. So interesting!
Rebecca @ MyEagerFeet says
Once Upon a Time is my latest binge. I can’t believe I waited so long to try it. But I think I will be glued to Netflix in the fall when they release the next season of Walking Dead.
Liv says
I’ve never seen Once Upon a Time or Walking Dead! I’ve heard good things about both, though 🙂
Alison @ Daily Moves and Grooves says
Ahh I want to do this! I got so excited to see that you’ve watched Anne of Green Gables more than once— that’s one of my favorite movies/books!!
Liv says
Please feel free to do the survey! I have to be in a certain mood to watch Anne of Green Gables (probably because it’s longgg) but I always enjoy it 🙂 I grew up watching it, too, so I’m sure part of it is nostalgia.
Kristina says
I had no idea that you used to live in Orlando!!
like your Chipotle quote. The answer from me is always a “Yes, let’s go right now!” 😀
Liv says
I lived in Orlando for 3 years! I enjoyed some things about it for sure, but I don’t miss the crazy summer heat 😉 Oh yeah, there’s only one answer to the Chipotle question.
Kristen @ Glitter and Dust says
If French toast is one of your favorite foods, do you always order it when you go out for breakfast, or is it one of those “special occasion” foods. I LOVE French toast but only order it when I am in the mood. 🙂
I didn’t know you have been to Kenya! What part? I went to Kenya in 2014 and fell in love with the culture, land, animals… everything. It was quite the experience and I would go back in a heartbeat.
You sound like me when it comes to the Bachelor/Bachelorette. This season. Ugh.
Liv says
French toast is more of a special occasion food for me because I usually like eating a lighter breakfast and bigger lunch and dinner (although I know it’s better to do the opposite of that!) I love homemade French toast, especially made with really good cinnamon raisin bread, and I LOVE making it for brinner.
I went to Nairobi, Nakuru, and Eldoret (<- where lots of distance runners come from!) It was a really cool experience, for sure, and we got to go on an awesome overnight safari at the end of the trip and camp in a national park. And this season of the Bachelorette...I can't handle it. I feel like I probably say that every season, but I mean it more every season, too. Either the show's getting worse or I'm just getting tired of it!
Beverley Cheng says
this post is so cute! love getting to know more about other bloggers. you’re so lucky to have travelled so much – Greece is definitely a top priority for me 🙂
For TV shows i am a huge nerd – Coronation St is my number one thanks to my British mother. After that Parks and Rec hands down haha.
Liv says
LOVE Parks & Rec! I was so sad when it ended but I’ll still watch reruns any day 🙂
Dani @ DaniCaliforniaCooks says
Cute survey! I also am not a Nutella fan. When I studied abroad in Paris, it was like blasphemy!
Jessica @ kiwiyogirunner says
Love this! I hear ya on the Nutella- im not a big chocolate fan and I really think it weirds people out haha. Some jobs I’ve had- professional fairy, nanny, caregive for the elderly, and mental health counsellor! Now I’m a part time waitress, I feel like I’ve done it all haha.
I totally hear you on the posting thing too- mine has been all over the place with my internet issues, it can be such a pain when I compulsively need to update all my blog besties on my life! In your case it’s a good sign of having an awesome random adventure of a summer though! 🙂
Liv says
Professional fairy?! Aside from that one, it sounds like you really enjoy taking care of people through the different jobs you’ve had! And I hope your Internet issues get straightened out soon 🙂
