Well friends, It’s finals week! I was up and at ’em early yesterday morning at 6:30 to go over my notes before taking my first psychology final at 8 am. Fortunately, it went well, and after turning in some paperwork for my RA job next year, I dropped off my backpack and headed out for a run. I love running around campus at this time of the year because it’s absolutely beautiful. I did an medium/easy-paced 5 mile and then stretched and foam-rolled afterwards.
After lunch, I headed out to do some more studying for my next exams and worked at the Whole Foods’ cafe for a while for a change of scenery. I’ve been trying to mix it up between studying alone and in groups, inside and outside, and in the library and other places, which has been making studying a lot more enjoyable.
On my way home, I hit up Trader Joe’s for a few goodies, including some treats for my foodie pen pal. A group of bloggers is doing a food swap, so I put together a package for my swap buddy. I’ll be able to share the details after I send it to her!
And then I stopped by Harris Teeter for my weekly grocery trip where I scored some great deals, including some free bananas and 2 quarts of strawberries for $0.25 each! It pays to coupon and use rebates apps– literally.
And guess what else I found at Harris Teeter?A couple weeks ago, Kristen commented and said I had to try the new Ben & Jerry’s flavor, the Tonight Dough, so I’ve been keeping an eye out for it because it sounded so good. It was even better than I was expecting! This is what greeted me when I opened the lid:I’d justify it by saying that its finals’ week, but I don’t think a little sweet treat after a full day of healthy eating needs justification. It was worth every bite! And now I get to enjoy it for the next few nights, too.
Oh, and I made this vegetarian burrito bowl for dinner. It was super yummy, and didn’t even require me to make a trip to the dorm kitchen. I’ll share the recipe soon!
So, that was my Monday, and it was a pretty great one. And now I’m about to hop in bed as soon as I wrap up this post. I just started making my roommate set a bedtime for me so I stop testing the limits of how little sleep it takes for me to survive. So far, it’s working…
So tell me…
-What’s your ideal “bedtime”? Actual bedtime?
-Favorite places you study/used to study?
-Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, or other grocery store?
