A couple weeks ago, Georgie from In it 4 the Long Run came up with the idea of hosting a blogger foodie swap where each blogger would send another blogger a little package of treats, and they’d get a package in return. I love getting mail, I love food, and I love grocery shopping, so I was all in.
My assigned swap buddy? Emily from My Healthyish Life! Emily’s a fellow college student, runner, and healthy food lover, so we have quite a few things in common.
Grocery shopping for her was a bit different than shopping for myself, though, because she eats gluten-free and dairy-free, and she doesn’t also have much of a sweet tooth. Dairy, gluten, and sugar are my three favorite food groups (kidding, kind of), so I wasn’t sure what to get her at first…but after stalking her blog a bit, here’s what I came up with when I went grocery shopping:
A box of KIND bars (she’s a campus rep for KIND! Best job ever, right?), some fancy peanut butter cups, a caramel chocolate bar, and an individual packet of almond butter. Her package came during the midst of finals, so it was great timing for a little pick-me-up. Thanks so much, Emily!
The foodie swap was a lot of fun and I’d love to do something like it again! And if you’re curious to see what other bloggers received, feel free to check out Georgie’s blog today.
Questions for you:
Have you ever sent or received a care package? What would you include in a healthy care package?
Do you have any special food sensitivities or allergies?
